MAGIC ~ ACTION ~ SOVEREIGNTY …
Yours for the Asking

There’s a lot of emphasis away from thinking these days, especially within women’s or spiritual circles. We’re supposed to Be – not Think.

Yet over and over as we met these different archetypes through the Meet Your Sacred Masculine Playshop exercises, we came to this deep appreciation for all the special gifts each one has for us. Every one of them is important. It’s when they’re out of balance that trouble brews.

The Magician’s energy is the thinker, standing at the still point in the center, observing the swirling chaos around him, reflecting on which move to make. He does not take action per se – that’s the Warrior’s role.

But he can harness the laws and energies of the universe to use for our own good. As the mediator between the worlds, he is a master at containing and channeling power. He knows not only how to turn it on, but equally important, how to turn it off.

For me, this was a big breakthrough. I’ve spoken before about my conflicted relationship with power. In holding back from really using my personal power out of fear I’d somehow abuse it, I was not trusting this inner ability given through the Magician’s gifts. It always felt like it would consume me – that I had no control. And so I tried to control it from a place of fear. That applies to living up in my head too. Thinking too much or to the exclusion of feeling, intuition, and action is based in fear.

But when I had a dialogue with my inner Magician, I realized I can stay centered myself and use my power in healthy ways. The high level Magician working with the Warrior knows and accepts his limitations. There is no pride or aiming to prove anything.

My heart opened wider, expanding into a new sense of what’s possible.

My Magician invited me to
“Trust and Know I can teach you how to use your power wisely. It is your fear of it and me that in the end distorts your natural ability to use or withdraw power CONSCIOUSLY.”

The Warrior is another archetype with centuries
of baggage to reframe

I am happy to see how open I am towards his energy now, compared to when I started playing around with these archetypes. It’s a process, for sure.

The messages came through loud and clear that each of the archetypes is here for us. They are truly waiting to be invited into our day to day lives. There was such an amazing feeling of being seen and heard by a part of us that only wants what’s best for us.

My Warrior told me, “I am here for you. Do not turn away. I stand with you today in honor, in recognition and respect for who you are, for who you will become and I am here to help you be that strong warrior for many others. Open your heart and let me in. I will not harm you, disappoint you, turn away from you. My sole job is to serve you at the highest level… but you must open the doorway to your heart to receive me.”

The King… Your Invitation to Sovereignty

And the final dialogue was with my King archetype. I saw how long I’ve kept him in deep hiding as well, letting his energy come out only when I think I really need it.

Beyond helping me be more organized, decisive, centered and focused he said, “More than that is a sense of wholeness I will bring to your psyche. Since I unite all the other archetypes within me in the fullest sense, I offer you a firm stand in your inner sovereignty…. where all the parts are recognized and integrated in union with your inner feminine.”

What kept coming up over and over is these aspects or parts or archetypes… yes, you can look at them in different ways… are here for us. It is not some made up thing.

My King told me, “You can trust I am here on your behalf. Totally. Fully. Completely. This is my sole purpose. Serving you so you can Be the Leader You Are! But you cannot do it without me. I am your team mate but I need to be invited to the table or I am not really on board.”

I hope you come and join us when the next round of the Playshop opens up.

The image at the top is part of an intuitive painting we’re working on layer by layer over the 9 weeks.

After meeting each archetype, we feel into what wants to show up on the canvas. Sometimes it’s a background color with different words expressing the qualities we want to call into ourselves. Or it might be symbols, shapes, colors. The thing is, by adding the next archetype on top of the one before, all the energy is carried and embedded in the final work. There’s a trust involved in letting it be as it wants to be. You cannot do it wrong because there is no right.

So what you’re seeing here is my Warrior. I again received the symbols of the full heart and the sword of truth to represent his energy. I painted it on top of the Magician’s layer without covering that up. You still see all this energy swirling around. The Magician is under the heart now calling down the energy from above and then channeling it outward again.

This will get another layer for the King and a final one uniting all four archetypes.
